Code of conduct

Attendance

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes before class begins.

  • If your child will be absent, let the instructor know as soon as possible.

  • Regular attendance helps students learn as part of the group.
     

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

  • A parent or authorized adult must drop off and pick up students in a timely fashion.

  • Please notify the instructor if someone different will be picking up a student.
     

Clothing

  • Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move freely in.

  • Closed-toe shoes are recommended unless advised otherwise.

  • Avoid clothing or accessories that may restrict movement.
     

Behaviour Expectations

Students are expected to:

  • Treat everyone with kindness and respect.

  • Listen when others are speaking.

  • Follow instructor directions.

  • Take care of props, costumes, and equipment.

  • Encourage and support fellow classmates.
     

Bullying, inappropriate language, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Parents/guardians will be contacted if ongoing behaviour concerns arise.
 

Health and Safety

  • Please keep your child home if they are unwell or have a contagious illness.

  • Inform the instructor of any allergies, medical conditions, or additional support needs before classes begin.

  • Emergency contact information must be kept up to date.
     

Photography and Video

  • Photos or videos may be taken during class for promotional or educational purposes only with parent/guardian consent.

  • Families who do not give permission will have their child's wishes respected.
     

Fees

  • Fees are due before or at the first class unless another payment arrangement has been agreed upon.

  • Missed classes are generally non-refundable.
     

Parent Observation

  • Unless invited for a special session or performance, parents are encouraged to wait outside the class area to help students develop independence and focus.
     

Performance Participation

  • If the class includes a showcase or performance, every student is encouraged to participate, but participation is voluntary and can be discussed with the instructor if concerns arise.
